Job Summary
Engage with Site Management to ensure personnel comply with Electrical Safe Systems of Work and issue permits for energised activities. Review project specifications, drawings, and switchgear distribution topology prior to start-up while interpreting basic electrical protection under fault conditions. Complete safety documents, lock out/tag out procedures, and liaise with testing contractors and control system providers to agree commissioning sequences under permit control schedules. Follow strict operational procedures and high voltage safety rules across MV/HV systems. Requires relevant electrical engineering certificates, minimum five years' experience in data centre projects, and S1 or S2 working levels. Required Qualifications
- Relevant 3rd level certificates in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or an Electrical Trade with relevant training and experience
- Minimum of 5+ Years' experience in a similar role within an electrical contracting environment, experienced in Commercial, Industrial, pharma, data centre type projects
- Experience of working on MV/HV systems
- 'Authorised Person or Appointed Person' experience
- Preferably level S1 i.e. able to work on any voltage or S2 which is up to 1000V
- Electrical Testing & Verification with min 3 years' experience
- HV Switching Tickets
- Process driven and focuses on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes
