Job Summary
Conduct accurate commercial project estimations from first principles, preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and professional tender submissions for clients across retail, fit-out, and hospitality sectors. Analyze tender documentation to identify scope implications, perform take-offs using Revit, and inspect sites as directed. Liaise with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and subcontractors to clarify design issues and achieve precise pricing, while leading post-tender meetings and managing variation submissions. Submit all documentation to clients, maintain the estimating register, and update subcontractor lists within EstimateOne. Operate daily from 9-5 SA in a remote, full-time role reporting to the National Estimating Manager, utilizing BuildExact and ArchiCAD for data extraction.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in ArchiCAD for 3D modeling and data extraction
- Experience working with AU or NZ business
- Demonstrated ability to manage the preparation of accurate, professional tender submissions and proposals on time to an industry-expected high standard
- Proven record of tendering commercial projects up to $10M
- Proficient skills in BuildExact/Wunderbuild, Planswift, Revit or similar tool, Office 365, and MS SharePoint
- Tender experience in retail, fit-out, refurbishment, live environment, hospitality, aged care, education, and small new-build projects
- Skilled in job estimating in a construction environment
- Good understanding of various construction methods and knowledge of building, material components, building regulations, estimating (including take-offs), and WHS&E
- Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities
- Highly numerate with a well-developed ability to accurately manipulate numerical information
- Good negotiation, influencing, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team

- Ability and willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and instructions as agreed with the Managing Director
