Job Summary
Operates Austin Resource Recovery (ARR) vehicles and equipment to collect, process, and dispose of trash, recyclables, and related materials; maintains carts and performs cart maintenance, including exchanges and cleaning as needed. Uses Routeware software to manage field activities, interacts with customers daily, trains/or assists in training others, and drives vehicles such as water trucks, rear-loading refuse trucks, and dump trucks. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs, working in varied weather, reading maps, following routes, and ensuring safety and compliance with DOT policies. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., with holidays and after-hours as needed; benefits and a comprehensive compensation package accompany essential duties in a fast-growing city context.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of driving experience with a current Commercial Driver License (CDL) in any field.
- Licenses and Certifications Required: Current Commercial Driver License, Minimum Class B License.
- Must obtain required endorsements within 120 days of employment, as required by position.
