Job Summary
Maintain constant surveillance of pool patrons and enforce club rules to prevent accidents. Respond quickly to emergencies by administering first aid and CPR/AED as needed. Complete assigned cleaning duties, facility maintenance, and opening/closing responsibilities while wearing the required uniform. Participate in stand rotations promptly and provide courteous customer service to members and guests. Be available to work August 22–30, Labor Day, and after-school shifts through September 13. Hold current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 16 years old (or meet all applicable state requirements)
- Hold current American Red Cross (or equivalent) Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications before beginning work
- Be available to work August 22–30
- Be available to work morning, daytime, or evening shifts during this period, based on scheduling needs
- Be available to work Labor Day (Monday, September 7)
- Be available to work after-school shifts on weekdays through September 13 and weekends as needed
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and sound judgment
- Be dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Be capable of performing the physical demands of lifeguarding, including swimming, rescues, prolonged standing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
