Job Summary
Supervise renters in the Auditorium and manage backstage areas during events, while operating light or sound boards and moving scenery including fly system operation. Assist with event setup and takedown for the orchestra shell, and support LOHS Theatre students during rehearsals on lighting, sound, set construction, props, and costumes. Supervise students during shows and help with auditorium maintenance, equipment repairs, and various projects. Work weekday afternoons during productions with occasional evenings or weekends, with weekly hours capped at 20.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of technical theatre experience
- Ability to pass a background check to work with students
- 18+ years old
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in education, ideally with high school students
- Live audio mixing/stage audio setup (Midas M32 and QLab experience a plus)
- Basic knowledge of theatrical lighting (ETC Ion experience a plus)
- Carpentry experience (scenic carpentry or similar)
- Interest in further mastering skills in Theater Technology/Design
