Job Summary
Auditor in Global Payments' Audit Services Group conducts and supports testing of IT General Controls for SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports and IT SOX controls across mainframe, cloud, and distributed environments. Responsibilities include planning, client coordination, fieldwork, data analysis, documentation, remediation validation, and communicating audit results with management and external auditors. The role emphasizes understanding business and IT processes to identify risks, evaluating internal controls, documenting process flows, testing automated controls, and contributing to continuous improvement. Travel opportunity (approximately 10-15%) is available, with exposure to senior leadership and opportunities for career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: 1-3 years of relevant audit and risk management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Management, Information Technology, or other similar degrees
- Knowledge of auditing principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of audit information
- Knowledge of IPPF Standards, IIA best practices, auditing principles and practices, and the analysis and reporting of audit information
- Experience with internal control frameworks and guidance including Sarbanes-Oxley, SSAE 18 (SOC 1 and SOC 2, Type 1 and Type 2) and 2017 AICPA Trust Services Criteria for a SOC 2
- Certifications such as CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CPA or other relevant certifications
- Big Four audit experience preferred
- 10-15% travel requirement including some international travel
- Experience with internal control frameworks including NIST, Cloud Controls Matrix, AWS CAF, COBIT, FFIEC, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, ITIL
- Payment Processing, Financial Services industry, Merchant Acquiring, and related domains
- Ability to test information security controls across applications, OS, and DB layers
- Project management and communication skills
- Experience with AuditBoard or similar audit software preferred
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Teams preferred
- Knowledge of AuditBoard or similar tools preferred
