Job Summary
Auditing & Education Consultant for professional fee coding and education. Evaluates client coders’ ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS coding on inpatient, outpatient, and physician encounters; performs concurrent or retrospective reviews; develops and delivers client education on audit findings; maintains privacy and compliance per AHIMA/AAPC guidelines; requires 5+ years in pro-fee auditing with AHIMA/AAPC coding certification; remote position with telecommuting capability. Responsibilities include complex data analysis, preparing client deliverables, QA on audit results, responding to inquiries regarding coding and denials, and providing ongoing coding education to clients. Must maintain credentials, stay current on coding guidelines, and communicate professionally with clients.
Required Qualifications
- AHIMA or AAPC Coding certification (CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA)
- 5+ years of auditing in professional fee (profee) with coding experience
- Experience with telecommuting and electronic medical record systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with multiple and diverse clients and projects
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain high accuracy
