Job Summary
Supervise teams of staff accountants, review deliverables for accuracy, and lead the day-to-day execution of audits according to standards. Identify accounting issues, propose resolution strategies, and recommend process improvements for clients. Build strong relationships with client personnel and serve as the primary contact where appropriate. Prepare high-quality work products, manage multiple engagements within timelines and budgets, and delegate assignments while providing on-the-job training to staff. This role requires a CPA license or progress toward one, with three-plus years of experience and real estate industry background preferred. Located in Westlake Village, CA, the position offers flexible work arrangements, remote opportunities, and a casual dress code.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related major
- CPA License or demonstrated progress towards obtaining a license
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States full-time
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- A Strong technical aptitude of accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and receptive to feedback and coaching
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects
- High attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting
- A positive attitude and a team player mentality, willing and eager to assist others with a can-do spirit
- Is committed to delivering the highest level of client service and willing to go the extra mile to meet deadlines
- Ability to work overtime and weekend hours during peak busy periods to meet deadlines and partner and client expectations
Desired Qualifications
- Having passed all four parts of the CPA exam is strongly preferred
- Real estate industry experience is preferred
