Job Summary
Conduct audits in accordance with established procedures, developing comprehensive audit plans and identifying potential challenges. Delegate tasks to junior team members, review and approve audit sections before submission, and assist in the preparation or review of financial statements. Summarize key client issues and offer technical advice and mentorship to junior staff, including detailed assistance and training. Evaluate staff performance by offering feedback and completing audit review assessments post-project. Monitor project progress to ensure budgets and deadlines are met while providing clear instructions. Requires ACA or ACCA qualification with nearly 2-3 years of auditing experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 with genuine work-life balance and hybrid working options.
Required Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualification, nearly qualified with practice experience
- 2-3 years of auditing experience
- Strong audit analysis and planning skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
- Up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent accounting standards developments
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Organized and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively
- Team player with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to perform well under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- ideally CaseWare (accounts and audit)
- Familiarity with IFRS, ISA, US GAAP & GAAP
