Job Summary
Audit Senior responsible for leading and executing audits at CS&L CPAs with a focus on governmental and nonprofit clients. Role involves participating in research, training, scheduling, and various administrative and technical duties; designing and performing audit procedures, preparing financial statements, and communicating accounting matters to managers and engagement principals. Requires applying CS&L’s audit methodology, ensuring compliance with GAAP/GAAS, and providing mentorship to audit staff. Travel to client sites is expected almost daily, with 10-20% out-of-town travel. Hybrid work arrangement in Tampa, Bradenton, or Sarasota, FL, with 3-4 on-site days per week during peak season and 1-2 remote days, and residence in Florida capable of regular commuting to local offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance is required
- 3-5 years of relevant audit experience in a public accounting firm
- Ability to meet challenging client requirements
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilities
- GAAP and GAAS knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and internet resources
- Ability to travel to local client sites almost daily with 10-20% out-of-town travel
- Mentorship and coaching capabilities
