Job Summary
Document process narratives and workflow charts to support audit remediation activities. Create and implement corrective action plans for identified findings while conducting recurring testing of internal controls. Perform and review statement analyses, assess financial information, report results, and analyze financial statement audit reports. Work on-site at the Army Material Command in Redstone, AL, several days a week, with travel required for on-site audit visits. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, five years of relevant experience, and an active federal SECRET security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience, particularly in accounting and finance
- Experience supporting DoD stakeholders and DoD/Army Financial Management
- Performing financial statement audits, audit readiness services, or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD or another Federal Government agency or department
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills
- Willing to travel to different sites to support audit visits
- Work on-site at the customer office in Redstone, AL, several days a week
- Active federal SECRET security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred candidates should have experience with Army inventory
- be willing to work on-site at the Army Material Command at Redstone Arsenal
- travel to assist with on-site audit visits
- Experience with the Army audit facilitation tools such as (A-FACT) and experience with DoD audit facilitation/remediation
- Experience in auditing areas such as Army logistics, supplies, inventory, PP&E, real property, environmental disposal, and/or liabilities
- One of the following professional certifications: CPA, CISA, CIA, CGFM, or CDFM
