Job Summary
Lead IT audit engagements as Audit Manager in a banking environment, shaping the IT Audit function and overseeing IT general controls, application controls, IT processes, and IT infrastructure audits. Develop risk-based audit programs, document test steps and high-quality work papers, update auditable entity risk assessments, and draft audit reports with actionable recommendations. Collaborate with stakeholders, stay current with industry IT trends, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (FFIEC, NYSDFS 500, GLBA, etc.). Leverage frameworks such as NIST CSF, COBIT, ITIL, ISO guidance, and data security best practices. The role requires 8–10 years of IT audit experience in financial services or public accounting, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong communication skills. The position is based in New York, NY, with a Hybrid work schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 8 - 10 years of information technology audit experience in financial services and/or public accounting firm
- Demonstrated experience in executing all aspects of the audit lifecycle (planning, risk assessment, testing, reporting, issue follow-up)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
- Knowledge of information technology risk and control areas including security, SDLC, change management, IT operations, business continuity, and infrastructure
- Experience with frameworks/regulatory guidance such as COBIT, ITIL, NIST, FFIEC, ISO 27002; banking regulations (e.g., GLBA, NYSDFS 500)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of management
- Ability to utilize tools to enhance the audit process
- Prior Big 4 experience is a plus
- Certifications preferred: CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CIPP, CGEIT, CISM, CIA
