Job Summary
Lead and manage end-to-end audit engagements for mid-to-large-sized clients, ensuring timely delivery in compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and professional standards. Develop audit strategies, risk assessments, and materiality thresholds tailored to client-specific environments. Supervise junior staff, providing guidance on technical accounting and audit procedures. Coordinate with senior management, regulators, and client executives to ensure seamless execution. Prepare financial statements, audit reports, and management letters while identifying key financial risks and internal control deficiencies. Contribute to business development initiatives and support internal quality reviews and firm-wide methodology improvements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving accounting standards and industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Professional qualification in ACA or ACCA
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification audit experience
- Significant exposure to financial statement audits of private and public companies
- Proven ability to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CaseWare, TeamMate, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical mindset
- Attention to detail
- Commitment to integrity and ethical standards
- Ability to travel as required for client engagements
