Job Summary
Audit Manager for not-for-profit practice responsible for leading engagements from planning through delivery, including single audits under Uniform Guidance, serving as primary client contact for technical questions and updates, reviewing workpapers and financial statements for GAAP/FASB ASC 958 compliance, and mentoring Associates and Senior Associates. Role involves supervision of audit teams, managing engagement budgets and timelines, coordinating with other service lines for integrated delivery, and travel to client sites as needed in the Indianapolis area; requires CPA, 5+ years public accounting and hands-on single-audit experience, with strong communication and relationship-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
- CPA license in good standing
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Hands-on experience planning and executing single audits under Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200)
- Major program determination, compliance testing, and SEFA preparation
- Strong working knowledge of FASB ASC 958 and not-for-profit financial reporting
- Proven ability to lead audit teams and develop staff at multiple levels
- Excellent communication, project management, and client relationship skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including 40 hours of annual CPE
