Job Summary
Lead multiple not-for-profit audit engagements from planning through final deliverables, including scoping, risk assessment, fieldwork supervision, and completion; manage client relationships as the primary point of contact; supervise, mentor, and develop staff; review audit workpapers and financial statements for compliance with professional standards; identify procedures for process improvements and stay current with new accounting pronouncements; draft complex financial statements and footnotes, and communicate results to clients; coordinate with partners and managers to develop audit strategies, monitor engagement status, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery while traveling to assigned client sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA license
- Minimum 5 years progressive audit experience in public accounting
- Not-for-profit industry knowledge
- Willingness to travel to client sites
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, CaseWare, ProSystem fx Engagement, CCH)
