Job Summary
Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets and timelines. Plan, coordinate, and review assignments for a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors, preparing tailored audit strategies and risk assessments. Act as the primary contact for clients, providing practical advice while managing team development and resolving operational issues. Review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards, identifying opportunities for additional services. Monitor engagement progress and maintain quality standards throughout the process.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification)
- Minimum of 5 years' audit experience
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients and leading audit engagements
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing and financial reporting standards
- Experience working with a broad range of clients across different sectors
- Commercially aware with the ability to understand client needs and deliver practical solutions
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Proactive approach
- Ability to work independently using your own initiative
Desired Qualifications
- Experience gained in a Big 4 or other leading professional services firm
