Job Summary
Audit Intern in the governmental audit department. Responsibilities include assisting with audit, review, and compilation engagements; planning, testing, substantive procedures, and reporting activities; traveling to client sites to perform fieldwork; compiling and documenting financial information and business transactions; preparing financial statements, workpapers, audit programs, and management reports; gaining exposure to client internal control processes by testing and documenting results; identifying discrepancies and communicating findings to the engagement team; maintaining active communication to help manage deadlines and deliverables; utilizing audit software, Excel, and other technology tools; presenting ideas and process improvements while developing professional and technical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3.0 GPA (cumulative and in accounting major)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel to client sites
- Interest in public accounting
