Job Summary
Audit Attorney in our New York office with hybrid schedule. Primary duties include reviewing audit requests, determining billing, gathering documents (including legal files, corporate records, SEC filings), and drafting/revising audit responses. Works with accountants, clients, Audit Committee, General Counsel's office, billing and timekeepers; uses firm software (iManage, InTapp, Excel) to create Audit Request Forms and notations; monitors responses for corrections and testing; drafts audit letters in line with risk policies; collaborates with relationship and reviewing attorneys to finalize responses; supports Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Requires a JD, at least 5 years of corporate experience, strong written and verbal communication, client service, organizational skills, and ability to articulate complex legal matters.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- active license in Illinois, New York or Ohio
- minimum 5 years of corporate experience
- auditor-related response experience
- proficiency with iManage, InTapp, and MS Office
