Job Summary
Perform audits, reviews, compilations, and various engagements while analyzing financial statement data to draw logical conclusions. Exercise professional skepticism in the critical assessment of audit evidence and identify, assess, and document controls and weaknesses in client accounting systems. Prepare clear and accurate workpapers, update managers of job status and assurance issues, and develop understanding of client businesses. Research and analyze pertinent clients, industry, and technical matters, applying specialized knowledge of AICPA rules, FASB pronouncements, and applicable state regulations. Work toward completion of CPA certification and actively seek feedback to develop self-awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam
- Minimum 1 year of Public Accounting experience
- Experience on audit engagements
- Demonstrate understanding of applicable U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Demonstrate understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Ability to research and analyze technical issues independently
- Ability to identify internal control deficiencies
- Ability to document management letter comments
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
- Working knowledge of Engagement Master
- Certified Public Accountant (US) or qualified Chartered Accountant
