Job Summary
Audit Assistant Consultant for a 6-month contract with potential extension. Hybrid work arrangement based in Holyoke, MA. Responsibilities include assisting in audit planning, understanding objectives, reviewing background documentation, preparing risk/control matrices, performing basic audit test procedures, conducting walkthroughs, collecting/analyzing audit evidence, data entry, drafting audit observations, and supporting development/refinement of internal controls, risk management criteria, and governance. Requires knowledge of internal control concepts (COSO/IIA/ISACA/NIST), audit techniques and sampling, business processes, risk assessment, and strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills. Proficiency with MS Office 365, SharePoint, Outlook, and collaboration tools is expected; familiarity with remote-work tools is beneficial. Educational requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree or professional certifications (ISACA/IIA/PMI/Accounting). 0–2+ years of relevant experience expected.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems (or professional certification in ISACA/IIA/PMI/Accounting)
- 0-2+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with MS Office 365, SharePoint, Outlook; familiarity with remote collaboration tools
- Basic understanding of internal control concepts (COSO, IIA, ISACA, NIST)
- Ability to perform basic audit test procedures and walkthroughs
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, clear written documentation, and professional communication
- Ability to navigate and use audit tools and GRC platforms (e.g., RSA Archer)
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
