Audit and Monitoring Coordinator

Job Summary

Act as a liaison for auditors by executing audit schedules, managing deliverables, invoicing, and tracking findings. Assist with oversight of internal monitoring programs, including timely completion of reviews, facility results, and corrective action plan completion. Support the development of audit schedules, documentation, and tracking systems to ensure timely follow-up and resolution of identified compliance concerns. Prepare audit findings reports outlining findings, root causes, recommendations, and corrective action plans. Gather, prepare, and present finding data to various organizational levels while supporting internal investigations and corrective action initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in utilization review, compliance, auditing, or monitoring or internal audit within healthcare
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health information management, or related healthcare field or equivalent experience
  • Strong program and project management skills, including ability to lead large complex projects within inflexible time frames
  • Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data and information while maintaining confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
  • Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and healthcare information systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in behavioral health preferred
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, payer guidelines, and compliance standards preferred
  • Professional certifications in coding, auditing, compliance, and/or clinical documentation integrity are preferred, including CPC, CPMA, CHC, CCS, CDIP, or CCDS
