Job Summary
Lead and manage audit engagements across multiple industries, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while overseeing financial reporting processes. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and statutory requirements, conducting risk assessments and designing effective audit procedures to evaluate internal controls. Mentor and supervise junior team members, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth under tight deadlines. Utilize accounting software including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks to analyze financial data and support audit testing, while coordinating with clients to collect documentation and resolve issues. Maintain comprehensive working papers and contribute to audit process improvements to enhance service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Professional qualification in ACA or ACCA
- Relevant post-qualification experience
- Proven track record in audit and accounts supervision within a reputable accounting firm or corporate finance setting
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and statutory reporting frameworks
- Proficiency in accounting and bookkeeping platforms such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring and developing junior audit staff
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex financial concepts
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
