Job Summary
Conduct audits for corporate and not-for-profit clients, handling queries and supervising junior colleagues. Oversee smaller audits and prepare financial statements while reporting directly to partners. Manage a 70/30 split between audit and non-audit assignments, utilizing strong analytical skills and knowledge of current standards. Work with diverse clients including FCA entities, leveraging experience in tax, corporation tax, and payroll. Join a growing team in Croydon with flexible hybrid working, one day per week from home, and a salary range of £40,000-£55,000pa.
Required Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA Qualified or Part-Qualified
- A minimum of 3 years' audit experience in an accountancy practice
- Up to date with current auditing and accounting issues, as well as relevant standards, company law, etc.
- Strong knowledge of tax, particularly corporation tax
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically to solve problems
- Ability to take ownership of issues from start to finish and show initiative
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on a diverse range of clients (FCA experience is beneficial)
- Strong computer skills, especially Excel
- experience with CCH and Pro-audit
- Knowledge of Mercia audit methodology
