Job Summary
Provide front-line technology support and services on-site or via phone or email for classes and events. Conduct on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of multimedia audiovisual equipment in classrooms and event spaces. Train faculty, staff, and students in the use of classroom technologies and assist senior AV staff with equipment systems. Support Hybrid, Hy-Flex, and Zoom Room systems for classes and events while delivering training on instructional technology. Work part-time, 10-15 hours per week, at American University in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must be a current AU Student
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Punctuality and dependability
- Ability to learn new information and skills quickly
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt to changing service needs, conditions, and work responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Previous experience in AV classroom or event support in high pressure situations
