Job Summary
The AV Programmer is responsible for defining, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications to meet business requirements. Key duties include coding, programming, and configuring control and audio protocols, performing network configurations, documenting device information, conducting on-site testing, troubleshooting system issues, and developing user documentation. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, CTS certification, basic IT knowledge, and experience with AV systems programming. The role demands effective multi-tasking, organizational skills, and strong communication abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CTS required within 6 months of initial employment
- Basic IT knowledge (e.g. IP address recognition)
- Experience with programming standard AV systems such as Crestron, AMX, Q-Sys, and Extron
- Ability to multi-task and manage time and projects effectively
- Organized with attention to detail
- Communication skills to effectively communicate system capabilities
- Solution-focused with troubleshooting skills
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and certifications specific to control system programming (Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC)
- Strong interest and desire to learn programming, correlating education helpful
