Job Summary
Conduct clinical hearing and balance assessments for newborns through geriatric patients, including tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, and evoked potential testing with or without sedation. Perform audiologic evaluations to support ENT medical diagnoses and counsel patients on findings. Select, fit, and verify amplification devices such as hearing aids and cochlear implants for pediatric, adult, and special needs populations using Signia, Phonak, Oticon, and ReSound equipment. Provide rehabilitative services involving implanted and bone-anchored devices while maintaining constant fit testing protocols. Work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, with no travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Audiology
- New York licensure in Audiology
- ability to obtain licensure in Audiology within 6 months from date of hire
- New York State Hearing Aid Dispenser License
- ability to obtain Hearing Aid Dispenser License within 12 months from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to perform and interpret diagnostic vestibular testing
- Familiarity with Signia, Phonak, Oticon and ReSound
- Experience with cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing aids
- Experience using Cochlear Americas and Advanced Bionics devices
