Job Summary
Conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process by reviewing uploaded medical records and performing Maryland CNC and Puretone Audiometric tests. Complete the Disability Benefits Questionnaire in the computer portal to generate medical evidence for benefit decisions. Review and assess 3-6 Veterans per day on average during in-person appointments lasting one to one and a half hours. This part-time role involves no evenings, on-call, weekends, or hearing aid sales, with compensation of $53 to $60 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Has an Au.D and has graduated from an ASHA Accredited school
- Holds a current license as an Audiologist
- Meets the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
