Job Summary
Audio Visual Technician: District Technology Technician focusing on Student Database Administration and Support Specialist. Operates the PowerSchool student information database and related products, performs data entry, validation, reporting, and data exports to other systems to support enrollment, attendance, grading, and other student information. Designs and executes complex queries for reporting and analysis; provides reports to district personnel, central office staff, and the State Department of Education. Trains school facility users remotely and on-site; maintains and troubleshoots database software; collaborates with Technology Services and City Information Systems to coordinate hardware requirements. Pursues ongoing education and training to support database products and related technologies and performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree (A.S.) in Computer Science with emphasis on database administration or equivalent (Preferred)
- Successful work experience in supporting contemporary software products for Windows/Linux-based computers in medium to large organizations
- Experience with PowerSchool SIS including reporting and data import/export techniques (Preferred)
- PowerSchool Certification
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations; ability to write reports and procedure manuals
