Job Summary
Audio Visual Technician responsible for providing audio/visual programming, implementation, and troubleshooting for properties including video walls and televisions; setup of AV equipment for entertainment events with bands; inventory management; ensuring displays are in good working condition; customer-service oriented; operates in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment and may require weekends/holidays with onsite readiness and potential on-call duties; proficiency in cabling, RF, digital signage, and show lighting controls; must obtain and maintain gaming licenses as required. Must be capable of collaborating with multiple departments and adapting to new technologies; prior casino/entertainment experience and basic computer networking knowledge are assets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Up to two (2) years of audio/visual related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Hands on experience with mixing live bands using digital and analog consoles.
- Hands on experience with mixing In Ear Monitor systems for bands from FOH.
- Prior casino and entertainment experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge or education equivalent to basic computer science A+ and Networking.
- Must be proficient in cabling, installation and termination.
- Knowledge on RF systems.
- Working knowledge on digital signage.
- Video engineering related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of show lighting controls and software.
- Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and programs as they become available.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and possess strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
- Must work well under pressure.
- May be “on call” for potential AV issues.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license.
