Audio Visual Supervisor

Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair facility audio, video, and broadcast systems while troubleshooting real-time technical problems using test equipment and blueprints. Supervise audio technicians, Venus technicians, and camera operators, managing their hiring, training, scheduling, and daily performance evaluations. Coordinate with production crews and contractors to ensure all operations sections function correctly, while maintaining inventory of equipment and adhering to safety codes for cable routing and fire ratings. Perform event standby duties and address extraordinary field issues, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work up to 14 hours daily in a high-noise environment at Truist Arena, with part-time, as-needed hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of previous Audio/Video experience
- Ability to identify and terminate all forms of audio and video connections whether consumer, professional or broadcast level
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of signal flow for both audio and video applications
- Working knowledge of wireless systems and frequencies
- Knowledge and understanding of digital vs. analog signals in both audio and video
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of RF cable signals and plants
- Knowledge of installation of patch bays, switchers, mixers and converters in both audio and video applications
- Ability to distinguish colors and color-coded wires
- Hearing sufficient to clearly hear voices, alarms, bells and horns
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Must have professional attitude and appearance
- Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the facility, at times, walking and/or standing up to 8-14 hours daily
- Must have the ability to kneel, climb to walkways or balance
- Must be able to lift in the excess of 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb and work from lifts, ladders, catwalks for long periods of time multiple times per day as needed
Desired Qualifications
- College or Technical School degree a plus
- Supervisory experience preferred
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some computer knowledge
