Job Summary
Operate cameras, run cables, and set up audio systems in the control room to produce the in-house entertainment for UMass Lowell games and events. Execute camera shots as requested by the Technical Director while coordinating with the audio team to manage mics, speakers, and music playlists for guest accommodations. Collaborate with the house DJ or band to deliver audio cues and manage LED, replay, and graphical displays for the jumbotron. Develop cabling setups to feed cameras and audio into the arena system and perform other duties as assigned. This part-time role offers a competitive hourly rate of $21.00-$24.00 with 401(k) matching, requiring availability for evening, weekends, and event days.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of standard camera operations (pan, zoom, tracking action, framing shots) and terminology such as focal point, white balance, rule of thirds, and depth of field
- Must be able to work regular business hours as well as evening/weekends and event days
- Ability to place needs of clients ahead of personal vision for execution of productions
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in an Audio-Visual setting using cameras, audio equipment, or advanced production equipment
- 1-2 years High School career/technical education
- Previous experience with Adobe software (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop)
