Job Summary
Provide on-site AV support for CASCOM G-6 classrooms and events in Fort Lee, VA, ensuring reliable classroom technology, seamless presentations, and high-quality audio/visual production. Manage setup, testing, operation, and teardown of AV equipment for presentations, ceremonies, conferences, and special events; troubleshoot and resolve AV issues; interpret wiring diagrams and schematics; maintain Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and AV inventory; coordinate with instructors and staff on AV requirements; support training and briefings, site surveys, and AV asset tracking using AESMP/VIAMS; perform preventive maintenance and maintain a Common Operating Picture of all classroom AV systems.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance
- Minimum 3–5+ years of experience supporting audiovisual systems in classroom, enterprise, or event environments
- Associate’s degree in Audio Visual Technology, Information Technology, or related field
- Security+ (IAT II) required
- Experience with AV equipment (projectors, displays, sound systems, control systems)
- Video teleconferencing (VTC/VTT) and hybrid classroom technologies
- Signal flow, wiring diagrams, and cabling (e.g., CAT6)
- Experience troubleshooting: Audio/video quality issues, connectivity, and system performance problems
- Experience supporting Live events, presentations, and multi-day conferences
- Familiarity with: Ticketing systems (AESMP, VIAMS, or similar)
- Inventory and asset management processes
- Strong customer service and communication skills in high-visibility, real-time environments
- Ability to lift, move, and transport AV equipment as required
