Job Summary

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Biamp Vocia systems, conducting health checks, fault log reviews, and firmware audits to ensure uptime and compliance. Diagnose and resolve complex issues spanning paging, AV control, DSP, and networked systems, including audio dropouts, zone misrouting, and device faults. Make advanced configuration changes within Vocia software for zones, routing, and logic while supporting emergency paging incidents with urgency. Produce clear service management agreement reports outlining findings, risks, and corrective actions. Communicate clearly with client IT and public safety stakeholders regarding system risks and upgrade needs. Maintain a clean service vehicle and adhere to safety standards in sensitive government environments.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Biamp Vocia systems in government environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting professional AV systems in enterprise or government environments
  • Working knowledge of AV control systems including Crestron and/or AMX
  • Working knowledge of QSC Q-SYS DSP platforms and audio signal flow
  • Ability to troubleshoot integrated systems spanning AV control, DSP, networking, and paging
  • Biamp - Vocia Certification
  • Avixa - CTS
  • Demonstrated experience with large, distributed Vocia systems
  • Crestron, AMX, QSC certifications
  • Expert-level understanding of Vocia system architecture and network topology
  • Expert-level understanding of Paging zones, groups, priorities, and logic
  • Expert-level understanding of Redundancy, fault monitoring, and system health reporting
  • Expert-level understanding of Emergency paging, alarm integration, and life-safety workflows
  • Strong proficiency with Biamp Vocia Software, firmware management, and system diagnostics
  • Advanced understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, multicast, QoS, Dante vs Vocia transport)
  • Ability to read and interpret as-built drawings, signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, and network schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting methodology
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check (CJIS / government environments)
