Job Summary
Oversee AV technical operations in a digital immersive client event environment, ensuring all systems including DVLED video walls, touch panels, and interactive installations are prepared and functioning. Serve as the primary technical escalation point for troubleshooting service needs, coordinating with internal teams and integrators to resolve discrepancies to client satisfaction. Perform daily preventative maintenance health checks and assist with break-fix activities for traditional AV devices and software across the facility. Collaborate with clients and remote technical teams via Microsoft Teams to optimize event spaces and develop best practices, while utilizing the ServiceNow ticketing system to track daily activity. Provide guidance for upcoming events and analyze post-mortems to recommend future improvements, maintaining professional engagement during high-level client events.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of AV experience in onsite and virtual hybrid live events
- Required experience with digital display technologies, Appspace and BrightSign
- Supporting executive-level AV events and client walkthroughs with polish
- Knowledge of AV troubleshooting and digital immersive meeting spaces
- Experience with DVLED video wall deployment and maintenance (NanoLumens)
- Cyviz windowing/presentation controllers
- Touch-enabled DVLED systems
- Excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills with an understanding of the importance of white-glove service
- Knowledgeable of HDMI ingest devices and basic AV network signal path troubleshooting
- Experience with audio network routing, presets, and gain structure
- Shure wireless microphone coverage, pairing, frequency management, and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting divisible rooms, source switching, and basic AV control system usage
- Familiarity with AV over IP concepts, including Crestron DM/NVX VLANs and control network segmentation
- Experience with performing daily AV health checks, cable termination, Cisco Room Series devices (codecs, mics, cameras), and Barco/Planar video wall systems
- A track record of being organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and working well in a team atmosphere, as well as having the capability to work well individually
- Strong work ethic, self-direction, self-motivation, patience, persistence, and perspective
- Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude during high-pressure situations
- Ability to communicate challenging aspects to clients while maintaining a high level of confidence and leadership
- Consistent proactive preparation and timely responses to multiple channels of communication
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and perform overhead work
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Available to work outside standard business hours and overtime when needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with interactive installations, content workflows, or architectural media
- AV Field Service Break-Fix experience
- Additional AV certifications such as Dante3, Crestron NVX, Cisco, Extron, AVIXA CTS, BrightSign, and Appspace
