Job Summary

Design and document audio-visual (AV) systems for client projects in collaboration with the sales team and customers. Responsibilities include AV system design, proposal creation, site surveys, producing comprehensive system designs and documentation (bill of materials, scope of work, equipment rack layout, budgets/estimations), supporting the design process with pre-sale drawings/modeling, attending customer meetings, and coordinating with AV Drafters, project managers, and installers to ensure successful installation while protecting confidential information.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical experience or BS degree in related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the Audio-Visual field
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of AV products/concepts (Extron, Crestron, Cisco/Polycom/Lifesize VTC, Poly, Biamp, QSC, Shure MXA, Dante & AES67)
  • Ability to read construction documents to inform AV design decisions
  • Knowledge of installation methods for AV systems (speakers, displays, cameras, cabling, AV racks)
  • Understanding of network topology
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and process
  • Commitment to ongoing training and certifications
  • Ability to collaborate with sales, partners, customers, and project teams
  • Ability to produce system designs and documentation (BOMs, scope of work, rack layouts)
