Job Summary

AV Technician responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining audio-visual systems for the USHMM Office of Information Technology. Responsibilities include turning exhibits on/off, daily visual-system inspections, installing projectors and displays, replacing bulbs, performing routine maintenance, managing equipment inventory, setting up classrooms and conference spaces for meetings and presentations, configuring video conferencing and live streaming, setting up captioning equipment, adjusting live and theater audio levels, configuring multi-camera live-streaming, supporting PowerPoint presentations, coordinating with outside contractors for events, planning and post-implementation management of temporary exhibits’ AV systems, and serving as technical lead for special events. Requires 2+ years of AV experience, CTS or equivalent certification, ability to lead events, experience with SDI/NDI video switchers, live sound mixing, hybrid video conferencing, ability to read AV flow diagrams, and strong communication skills. Live-event experience and experience with Dante/AVIOIP is a plus. Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 8am-4pm EST. Location: Washington, DC.
