Audio Segmentation and Transcription - Cantonese (Part-time)

Job Summary
Listen to Cantonese-English audio clips and transcribe them accurately, segmenting audio into natural speech units and identifying speakers when multiple voices are present. Add simple annotations for gender, age group, and emotion, then review and validate transcription quality through assigned Quality Control tasks. Communicate actively with the Project Manager for clarifications and complete assigned tasks within the project timeline. This two-month remote project requires at least four hours daily, including weekends, with a minimum target of three tasks per day. Mandatory onboarding training occurs during office hours. Fluent Cantonese speakers with healthcare background or medical terminology familiarity are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in spoken Cantonese
- Able to write in Traditional Chinese
- Fluent in English
- Cantonese speakers from Hong Kong and Malaysia
- Healthcare background or familiarity with medical terminology commonly used in hospital or clinical environments
- Familiar with using a Cantonese Jyutping keyboard
- Strong listening and comprehension skills
- Ability to understand different accents, speaking styles, and background noise
- Detail-oriented and patient
- Ability to maintain at least 95% accuracy
- Willing to ask questions when unsure
- Have access to a laptop or desktop computer
- Have access to a headset
- Have access to a stable internet connection
- Ability to manage your own time and meet deadlines
- Complete a mandatory pre-assessment as part of the screening process
