Job Summary

Audio Engineer at Honda Center, Anaheim, responsible for serving as the primary mix board operator for sports and events, overseeing operation, maintenance, inventory, and repair of arena sound systems (interior and exterior) and arena intercom systems. Sets, operates, and strikes audio equipment for internal and external events. Collaborates with event vendors, TV broadcast trucks, internal Production and Building Operations, and schedulers to ensure audio and communications needs are met. Requires expertise with Yamaha CL5 digital console, Dante/MADI/Q-SYS/Riedel systems, RF coordination, and assistive listening systems; strong knowledge of audio routing, IP topology, and event sound practices; ability to multitask in a fast-paced live environment and work with diverse teams.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience operating entertainment audio systems in a multipurpose sports arena or similar environment
  • Experience with Yamaha CL5 digital mixing console or equivalent
  • Experience with Dante, MADI, Q-SYS, Riedel communications systems, and Evertz routers preferred
  • RF coordination experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of audio systems, signal flow, and IP/network topology
  • Proficiency with inventory management and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced live-event environment
