Job Summary

Guide 10-12 riders through a weeklong ATV trek covering 50-80 miles, coaching participants of all levels to safely operate vehicles and overcome fears. Conduct daily equipment inspections, perform basic ATV maintenance, and execute off-road rescues while rendering first aid as needed. Assist with facility setup and takedown, ensuring all riders are properly trained and documented. Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Minimum age is 18 for guides or 21 for instructors; Wilderness First Aid certification is required. Work involves standing, walking, and riding up to 9 hours daily with a 60-pound lift limit.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18+ Guides
  • Minimum age: 21+ Instructors
  • Complete "Wilderness First Aid" (training provided)
  • Complete ASI trainer course (training provided)
  • Experience riding ATVs and/or teaching/guiding off road vehicles
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and ride up to 9 hours daily
  • Ability to lift/move up to 60 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
