Job Summary
Train and supervise staff in ATV program execution, including ASI instructor courses. Direct facility setup and takedown while guaranteeing safe, thorough completion of every training session for all riders. Coordinate logistics for gear, food, and vehicles across multiple camping locations, ensuring proper equipment use, inventory, and timely paperwork. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while modeling the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions. Perform additional duties assigned by leadership and adhere to staff handbook policies. Requires 2+ years leading teams, experience operating ATVs, and physical stamina for up to 9 hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 21+
- Experience in operating ATV or off-road motor vehicles
- Pass the ASI instructor course (training provided)
- 2+ yr. leading teams
- Prefer 2+ Summit employment
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
- Ability to stand, walk, and riding up to 9 hours daily
- Ability to lift/move up to 60 pounds
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in simple mechanics and repair
- High emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)
- Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
- Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
