Job Summary
Direct, supervise, and manage the daily operation of the Attractions Department, establishing priorities and exercising independent judgment to resolve staffing, guest service, and safety issues. Develop policies, monitor performance, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and profitability while managing labor costs and operating expenses. Recruit, interview, select, onboard, and train personnel; prepare work schedules based on business needs and forecasted volume. Conduct performance evaluations, administer corrective actions, and make recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, and termination. Ensure all attractions comply with federal, state, and local regulations by leading safety inspections and accident investigations. Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Events, and Maintenance to maximize operational effectiveness and serve as Manager on Duty as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of progressive management experience in family entertainment centers, hospitality, attractions, amusement, recreation, restaurant, or similar high-volume operations
- Demonstrated experience supervising multiple employees and developing frontline leaders
- Experience making employment decisions involving hiring, coaching, discipline, scheduling, and performance management
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing labor budgets and operating expenses
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent business decisions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational management systems
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, or related field
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Fluent in written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment
- Ability to respond quickly to operational or emergency situations
- Evening, weekend, holiday, and peak-season availability
