Job Summary
Trademark Attorney needed to counsel clients on trademark selection, clearance, and brand strategy, including searches and registrability opinions; prosecute U.S. trademark applications before the USPTO, including responding to office actions; coordinate with foreign trademark agents; run trademark watch and enforcement programs; draft and negotiate licensing, coexistence, assignment, and consent agreements; handle cease and desist matters, infringement, dilution, and online brand enforcement (UDRP); conduct trademark due diligence in mergers, acquisitions, and financing; build client relationships and support the IP practice; stay current on trademark/IP law through CLE and INTA involvement; requires JD and NY Bar admission, 6+ years of trademark/IP experience including USPTO prosecution, strong analytical and communication skills, and an entrepreneurial client-development mindset.
Required Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- 6 or more years of trademark and related intellectual property experience, including USPTO prosecution and matters before the TTAB
