Job Summary
Hands-on Litigation Attorney needed for a fast-paced commercial litigation practice with a focus on motion practice, summary judgment, and procedural oversight. Will draft and finalize motions, review pleadings, supervise paralegals, liaise with clients, and implement workflow improvements in a high-volume New York civil litigation environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of practical litigation experience
- Strong experience drafting summary judgment motions, oppositions, replies, and related motion practice documents
- Strong understanding of New York civil procedure (CPLR)
- Experience reviewing pleadings, discovery, exhibits, and litigation filings
- Ability to supervise and support paralegals on procedural and litigation-related questions
- Comfortable handling high-volume caseloads
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, think critically, and exercise sound judgment
- Experience in small to mid-sized litigation firms preferred
- MCA, collections, or commercial litigation experience preferred
