Job Summary
Attorney with at least one year of litigation experience sought to support insurance defense and general liability matters on a contract basis. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and related legal documents; conducting legal research and case analysis; assisting with discovery management and responses; participating in depositions and trial preparation; supporting litigation strategy and case planning; communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel; maintaining case files and litigation deadlines. Strong drafting, research, and discovery/motion-practice skills are required, with deposition experience preferred and trial exposure a plus. Writing sample strongly encouraged. Compensation ranges from $80 to $85 per hour, with potential conversion to full-time hours.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of litigation experience required
- Insurance defense or general liability experience preferred
- Strong legal research and drafting skills
- Experience with discovery and motion practice preferred
- Deposition experience preferred
- Trial exposure is a plus
- Ability to work independently following onboarding
- Writing sample strongly encouraged
