Job Summary
Represent clients in trials, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations; conduct legal research and develop case strategies; draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements; interview clients and witnesses; take and defend depositions; and participate in negotiations. Advise clients on litigation risks, strategy, and resolution options while managing case files and deadlines with high organization. Stay current on developments in employment law and collaborate closely with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week in-office role offers a family-friendly culture with reasonable hours and a collaborative environment for sophisticated work.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- 5+ years of litigation experience
- Strong command of civil procedure, evidence, and courtroom practice
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Strategic, analytical thinker with strong judgment
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently and in teams
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in legal research tools
