Job Summary
Research, write, and edit high-quality current awareness articles daily on developments in corporate transactions, litigation, legislation, and regulation. Prioritize concurrent projects to meet challenging deadlines while analyzing and anticipating the interests of a targeted professional audience. Identify key court, regulatory, and transactional documents, develop contacts within the legal community, and assist with online publishing tasks including assigning topics and linking content. Use multiple applications and content management systems to perform assigned tasks, regularly apply AI solutions for development and refinement, and conduct legal research using Westlaw, CoCounsel, and other systems. Work with colleagues and departments globally to foster company goals and contribute to product development as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A Juris Doctor
- experience writing and analyzing legal content related to energy, environment, corporate transactions, bankruptcy, antitrust, corporate finance, or securities
- Superior writing and editing skills
- a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Experience in legal journalism, news, or other writing environment
- Familiarity with Associated Press style
- Ability to write about complex legal issues clearly and simply
- Proven news judgment and analytical ability
- Experience using online legal research platforms such as Thomson Reuters Westlaw
- Ability to quickly learn and master new technologies
- Ability to prioritize concurrent projects and adhere to challenging deadlines
- Ability to adapt and change quickly to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders, ongoing responsibilities, and emerging projects
- Regularly use AI solutions in your day-to-day work

- Perform legal research using Westlaw, CoCounsel, and systems
