Job Summary
Senior Civil Litigation Attorney for a civil litigation practice representing public entities. Hybrid work arrangement with in-person meetings as needed; must reside in Northern California. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of civil litigation from inception through verdict; conducting discovery, depositions, and motion practice; preparing and arguing motions in limine; conducting jury selection and trials; performing legal research and drafting briefs, pleadings, and related documents; interviewing clients and witnesses; attending hearings, mediations, and arbitrations; providing regular case updates to clients; monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations; representing public entities in civil litigation matters.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 10+ years of civil litigation experience
- First-chair trial experience with at least 10 jury trials and 5 bench trials to verdict
- Strong knowledge of the California Evidence Code and civil procedure
