Job Summary
Senior Attorney/Partner opportunity for an experienced attorney to maintain and grow a portable book of business, set your own billing rates, and manage client relationships with full ownership over your practice. Operate with high autonomy, set your own strategy, and avoid mandated billable hours. The firm provides a national platform, administrative support, and marketing resources while you bring the clients and expertise. Requires 8+ years of experience, a portable book of business worth about $300K+, an active bar license in relevant jurisdictions, and an entrepreneurial mindset focused on building an independent practice across corporate, M&A, finance, real estate, litigation, tax, employment, and IP. Bonus points for multi-state portable client base and prior leadership roles.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience practicing at a sophisticated business law firm
- A portable book of business of $300K+
- An active bar license in the state or states where you provide legal services
- Self-sufficient practice with the ability to operate without assigned work
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to own your platform
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Experience in corporate, M&A, finance, real estate, litigation, tax, employment, IP, or related business law practice
