Job Summary
The Associate Attorney will handle tort matters and be responsible for case strategy development, discovery preparation, and attending hearings. Responsibilities include taking and defending depositions, explaining legal options to clients, and building client relationships. Candidates should possess strong negotiation, research, and communication skills, and should be self-motivated with a track record of achieving billable hours goals. A Juris Doctor degree is required along with the ability to practice law in Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
- In good standing and able to practice law in the state of Illinois
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Strong sense of urgency about problem solving
- Excellent communicator, negotiator, public speaker, and problem solver
- Detail oriented, organized and effective
Desired Qualifications
- Trial experience
- Experience with iManage and/or OneDrive
