Attending Psychiatrist

Provide direct clinical care to adult patients under the supervision of the Facility Medical Director, including admission and discharge of patients meeting appropriate DMH criteria. Lead the assigned Treatment Team and delegate responsibilities to team members while ensuring comprehensive assessments, accurate diagnostic formulations, and interdisciplinary treatment plans. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to participate in regular clinical and risk consultation meetings, quality and performance improvement initiatives, and ongoing patient monitoring. Assume overall responsibility for patient care on the assigned treatment team, including evaluation, consultation, and collaboration as needed to ensure safety. Candidates will be recommended for a UMass Chan faculty appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor based on qualifications.
